Applications in Steel Industry

Oxygen: Used in the blast furnace process to burn off impurities and increase the efficiency of the process.

Nitrogen: Used for purging, blanketing, and cooling applications. It is often used to create an inert atmosphere in furnaces and other equipment to prevent oxidation.

Hydrogen: Used to remove impurities from steel, such as Sulphur and oxygen. It is also used in the annealing process to improve the mechanical properties of steel.

Carbon Dioxide: Used for cooling and shielding applications. It is often used as a coolant in the production of steel.

Argon: Used as a shielding gas during welding and other high-temperature processes. It is also used in the production of specialty steel alloys.

Helium: Used for leak detection and as a coolant in some steel production processes.

Specialty gases such as nitrogen trifluoride and silane: Used in the steel industry for cleaning and etching applications.
